The Rapture of Debbie Harry

Before Madonna, before Courtney Love, and Kylie Minogue came Punk Princess Debbie Harry.

As lead singer for Blondie, and one of Andy Warhol's muses, Debbie's sex appeal and fashion inflence catapulted her into Style Icon status, and her punk edge influence still haunts today's fashion.

Epitome of cool.

So amidst all this talk that Weinstein Co. film studio heads Bob and Harvey Weinstein (Harvey also serves double duty as Marchesa's Georgina Chapman's boyfriend) have just bought the Halston fashion house. Now this leaves me wondering why he would choose someone like Stylist Rachel Zoe to serve as creative consultant for this line which is so 70's influenced. Wouldn't Debbie have been a better choice? Yeah maybe she doesn't know shit about designing but does Kate Moss? Everyone and their mother has a line (quite literally...Beyonce anyone?!)

It's not too late Harvey! Atleast you'll have someone who actually got around to being at Studio 54.
Get. On. It. Asap.

Yeah I'm sure she's had some work done, a little Botox here and there (maybe?) but for a woman in her mid 50's, Debbie continues to be one of the coolest girls in town.
