It's Not WHAT you know...

And the Halston takeover begins...

Who says movie moguls can't be fashionistas?

Do not fret my fashion fiends... Harvey Weinstein will SAVE Halston. Just how you ask?

* The Weinstein Co. will make a documentary about fashion icon Roy Halston. We all saw how wonderful of a job Weinstein Co. did with Factory Girl. I can't wait!

* Halston products will be featured in full effect on Bravo's Project Runway. Product placement, Weinstein Co.style.

* All of Zoe's clones will all be decked out in Halston, so everyone else will want to wear it. Brilliant.

Rachel Zoe, Georgina Chapman and Harvey Weinstein. Just what Halston needed.

The Rapture of Debbie Harry

Before Madonna, before Courtney Love, and Kylie Minogue came Punk Princess Debbie Harry.

As lead singer for Blondie, and one of Andy Warhol's muses, Debbie's sex appeal and fashion inflence catapulted her into Style Icon status, and her punk edge influence still haunts today's fashion.

Epitome of cool.

So amidst all this talk that Weinstein Co. film studio heads Bob and Harvey Weinstein (Harvey also serves double duty as Marchesa's Georgina Chapman's boyfriend) have just bought the Halston fashion house. Now this leaves me wondering why he would choose someone like Stylist Rachel Zoe to serve as creative consultant for this line which is so 70's influenced. Wouldn't Debbie have been a better choice? Yeah maybe she doesn't know shit about designing but does Kate Moss? Everyone and their mother has a line (quite literally...Beyonce anyone?!)

It's not too late Harvey! Atleast you'll have someone who actually got around to being at Studio 54.
Get. On. It. Asap.

Yeah I'm sure she's had some work done, a little Botox here and there (maybe?) but for a woman in her mid 50's, Debbie continues to be one of the coolest girls in town.
