Not Zoe Bad...

::I HAVE a confession to make.

Last night, I watched a sneak preview of The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo... and I liked it. Something inside of me really wanted to dislike it, yet I thought it was fun and a great behind the scenes look of a revolutionary fashion stylist. As much as she's hated, she's equally loved, and Zoe's determined to bring high fashion glamour into homes all across America.

Love her or hate her, the woman responsible for making a fashion icon out of Nicole Richie, is one of the undisputed top fashion stylists in the fashion game.

The show follows Rachel Zoe as she navigates through the perils of styling celebrities, vintage shopping, fashion emergencies and yes- New York fashion week.

The cast of characters include Rodger, her adorable and loving husband, Taylor, the self described "stuffed sequined sausage" slash catty hipster assistant with a chip on her shoulder, and Brad, her new flamboyantly fabulous assistant with sensitivity overload.

Cameos are made by designers extraordinaire, Peter Som, Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen, and Marc Jacobs. If you look closely, you'll even see Anna Wintour sitting front row at the shows- oooh so thrilling!

I don't want to give too much of it away, so you'll just have to tune in when it premieres on September 9th, it might just be "bananas".

Runway to Reality

RUNWAY TO REALITY

Good choice, or What was she thinking?

VIVA MODEL'S darling, Milana Keller killed it when she strut down the SS07 Chanel runway in this "oh my God, this dress is so fabulous, I could totally picture myself wearing it everyday this week" RTW dress! It was one of my most lusted pieces from this show.

Eva Longoria wed Tony Parker in Paris today and decided to wear this little number, to her civil ceremony, and although I loved the dress, I don't think the outfit really worked. do you agree?

It dawned on me that Eva Longoria never really caught my eye fashion wise, before today. It's not that I don't think she's a descent dresser...I've just never really paid attention to her, at all. I'm actually one of the very few breathing souls that has never watched a single episode of "Desperate Housewives". Que horror! But seriously, this is what Chanel does to a woman. God, I'm so pathetic with my love devotion to Uncle Karl. I'm borderline obsessed right now. Tangents, tangents. On a side note, a shot out to Ms. Janine, over at The Coveted, one of my favorite new blogs.

Another reason this outfit didn't work... Eva went accessory crazy, and this necklace was too heavy for this standout dress. It's like wearing smokey eye shadow with heavy lipstick. It's making my head hurt just staring at her neck line... make it stop. Btw, are these Chloe frames?

Snapshots

I'm not especially proud of my slight fascination/borderline ADDICTION to reality television. Cinema Verite is my crack, and "Click!" will provide me my next fix (Top Chef is currently the flavor of the moment).

"Click!" will be a reality show where ten amateur photographers compete for a chance at being the next it fashion photographer. If this concept sounds a bit familiar, that's because it will produced from the same people that brought you Top Model.

"Click!” will give 10 amateur photographers the chance to live out their wildest fantasies in pursuit of their ultimate dream: to become the next great fashion photographer. [the] cast will live and work together in a downtown L.A. loft while being guided by world-renowned fashion photographer Russell James. These aspiring photographers will embark on a series of photo shoots meant to challenge their creativity and expose their individual weaknesses. For the first time in their lives, the cast will work with supermodels and high-end professionals, while traveling to exotic locations – all to capture that one perfect shot. "

OMG. This is genius! I swear that I am the love child of Mario Testino and David lachapelle incarnate. I want in on this! seriously, where can I audition? If any of you darlings have any info on this, send a little comment my way.

Karma's finest hour

FACE it. As long as there are hero's (Sasha, Liya, Agyness) there will be Villains. Naomi Campbell hasn't been the face of purity lately, but she does look stunning in white. Naomi's community service diary will be featured in July's W magazine, along with the following spread shot by her homie, Steven Klein. A MUST READ.

Naomi's "it wasn't planned" attire for the last day of community service was beyond ridiculous and yes she put on a good show by holding her head her up high in a stunning couture gown. True to supermodel form...

She was a mess inside. Sometimea the prettiest people can hide the ugliest pain.

I would go on a tangent, but I'm sorta tired talking about Naomi Campbell (for now). Are you?

Karma at it's finest

Remember that little incident where Naomi Campbell "accidentally" cracked her assistants head with her cell phone for allegedly stealing a pair of her jeans? Well, justice has (finally) been served and Ms. Campbell will begin her five day community service tomorrow. Naomi will be doing some heavy duty cleaning including mopping up floors at Manhattan's Pier 36.

Ah, the tangeled web we weave... I'd PAY to see this.

Check out this hysterical recreation of the incident. Whoever did the voiceover for Naomi should win some sort of award. Pure craziness.

On a side note, Spring is right around the corner and I thought I'd give this blog a fresher "springy" look. Being the fabulous blogger that I am, I have been unable to figure out how to create a header. Can any of you darlings please help me out?

The Rehab Diaries: Part II

This may be old news by now, but Marc Jacobs in rehab? So sad... I guess I'll take it easy on those MC Hammer "Hareem" Pants. After 7 years of sobriety and being drug free, Marc relapsed and decided to check into an Arizona rehab facility. I think it's great that MJ is acknowledging his demons, and dealing with them head on... Unlike other designers and models which shall remain nameless.

"This was just a very interior sort of world where, you know, people's feet don't touch the floor, and you're sort of lonely at the end of the night and everyone goes home and you're still beautiful and you've spent all day taking care of yourself..." Marc Jacob's on his FW07 collection.

Case Closed.

Remember this little number from SS07 Chanel Couture? Anja Rubik wore this dress in the show, and I'm sure she isn't anything larger than a size 2.

Well guess who showed up wearing that dress to Paris Hilton's Birthday party. Ms. Courtney Love. Uncle Karl is beyond pissed, because this dress went "missing" and apparently no one knows how Courtney got her little claws on this one of a kind dress. Courtney Love stealing Couture? The horror!

A source said, “It was one of many dresses sent to her by stylists and publicists to wear. It did not have a label in it. We haven’t figured out yet which stylist and/or publicist sent that particular dress.

Liars! this is the kind of drama we live for! Loves it.

My question is... How in God's name did Courtney manage to squeeze into it? She couldn't have. Therefore, she didn't do it. In her defense, this HAS to be a knock off. Notice the heavier material on Courtney's dress, and the gloves don't seem to be the same. Obviously, not the same dress. So there you have it.

I just solved the case of the "missing" dress.

from runway to reality

Okay...

I received some emails asking me why I didn't post anything on the fashion selections of the Golden Globes, but honestly, I wasn't too thrilled. All the usual suspects showed up in very predictable attire (seriously, who DIDN'T expect Beyonce to wear a barely there gold dress?). If I were on the red carpet, I would stick to only something that was custom made, or Vintage.

Cameron Diaz wore something straight off the Valentino Spring 07 runway, but somehow the look did not suit her... I hate to say this, but her look reminded me of Bjorks tragedy.
