Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week SS11

The Orient express had a trip through the 1930's era before landing at the Louis Vuitton Fashion show at Paris Fashion week.
Marc Jacobs has created a collection that is a complete feast for the eyes and the purses of the Fashionista's that watched the show unfold.

Such Celebs as Caroline Sieber, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and Amber Rose graced the front row eager to see the new SS11 collection from the big French designer house.

Lace, sheer and fringing created the sexy siren look straight from a iconic movie set while the orient inspired shapes like the wrap around dresses, two piece sets and large sleeve detail set the mood of the Eastern land.  The models carried fans in array of designs adding to the finishing touched of the wonderful show.  The whole atmosphere took the audience back to a more glamours time when movie stars would walk the red carpet and drape themselves over a red plush Chaise Longues just to talk to their audience.

Glamour with a touch of 'The old Chinese Theatre' in Hollywood would be perfect setting for this collection.

::PARALLEL UNIVERSE

::I GET The Zoe Report every morning in my inbox, but somehow never figured out why Rachel's logo looked a bit familiar...

Until I finally figured it out this weekend, while shopping for a Christmas gift... It's almost an exact replica of the Louis Vuitton logo- and as savvy Enna pointed out, it's also reminiscent of the YSL logo. Holy trademark Batman?! Is Rachel paying homage, or flat out lacking originality?

I'm on team Zoe- and a big fan of her work- so I'm going to go with homage... but more importantly, what do you lovelies think?

Strap it up

Although the shows have passed (except for L.A. fashion week, of course) I can't help but keep revisiting the fw07 collections for the hundreth time and notice the heavy use of straps on shoes. These all look like a lot of fun to wear, but leave me wondering...are these too much effort? Would I ever these?

Top Model

Oh how I love Gemma!

IMG's Princess, Gemma Ward is currently standing strong as the top model on Models.com.

Her new Louis Vuitton campaign is on fire!

Scarlett wasn't a great choice for the campaign, and she just doesn't scream luxury to me. Gemma steps it up, bringing the illusion and "aspirational" beauty to the brand, the way a real model is supposed to. As far as I'm concerned, actors can (with a few minor exceptions) stay in Hollywood, and let the real models do what they do best.
