Jasper Garvida Sept LFW SS11

One of the nicest Fashion Designers showing at the Vauxhall Scout event was the lovely Jasper Garvida and he's amazing collection for Spring/Summer 2011. Beautifully crafted dresses and clothing that shouted volume and presence where Jasper's way of hitting the catwalk running.

A ruffled dress in Coral was the opening piece that instantly had you rooted to the runway. Next up the baby pink, 50's style prom dress with spaghetti straps that was so elegant yet classic for the modern day woman.

The party season continued to a more updated feel with Sequin jackets, shorts, trousers and a giant gold disk waistcoat which was tailored yet divine.
Prints were also featured in the collection in the form of deep v dresses and ruffles appeared on blouses and other items as detailing for the added luxury feel.

Some tailoring was also cleverly imported into the collection in the form of shorts, blazers and even the sequin trousers had a smart feel to them.

Pleats and frills carried on the 1950's influence and features such as flowers pinned to dresses giving the hint of corsages given by prom dates. These really finished off the outfits.
Over all it was eyeful with all the detail and well worth-while investing in some of these pieces for future events.
Jasper definitely has my vote for One to watch!

Krystof Strozyna Sept LFW SS11

A video played featuring a beautiful model, in nature's Garden as she played with flowers and bubbles while the anticipation of the show mounted.
Krystof's show was simply beautiful. I am a very keen wearer on pastel colours in soft fabrics for summer and this collection had those key elements and more!
Lace inserts wrapped with silk and topped with lace knee-high socks in a creamy beige set the scene for a gorgeous and girlie collection.
Prints were featured from the blue animal to the slight space inspired pattern in a blouse with puff shoulders that was teamed with a beige lace skirt, setting off the colours beautifully. Black shear trousers were also featured in a two tone style using different materials and a black loose fitted Tux was also in the collection, giving a nice change from the extremely feminine pieces before it.

The collection bleedes with the premiere of the 'Krystof' diffusion line which is based on graphic cuts that are inspired from the designers main line.

Overall it was a complete joy to see this collection and can't wait to see what the designer has in store for us in February 2011!

This Blouse was my favorite Print, so gorgeous

Charlie le Mindu 19th Sept LFW SS11

80's retro is the one of many inspirations I saw from the Charlie le Mindu collection for SS11. The hair pieces were amazing, covering the models bodies like fur coats in rustic colours.
The Head gear of bottles, Hollywood signs, flamingo and dog heads added to the LA 80's feel of outspoken clothing and glamour.

Even the models who were naked or parshly, looked super glamours parading down the runway with their red lips and big eyes.  Mixing bright luminous hair and the all in one body suits with the on-trend leopard print added to the poster girl look of the 1950's that added to the look.

In all, Charlie Le Mindu's collection was unique, liberating and free from the restraint of the modern trend directions.

All I can think about is what the designer will do next.

Basso & Brooke 19th Sept LFW SS11

Dragging myself across town to get to the 9am show on a Sunday morning was well worth it. Basso and Brooke created a romantic and yet feminine collection for their new season. Dresses were the core of the collection with romantic poetry mixed with collage style prints to create an effortless chic with a carefree twist.
The hair and make up were toned down with a natural 70's inspiration with wavy hair and peach lips.

The Fabrics and prints that the designers used bring out the clothing to life has made the new collection vibrate and lustful. The blues and yellows are a wake up for other designers to see that Basso and Brooke's use of colour and prints are the way forward for the next season.
