::FW12 RTW - Day 1

::Today was the official kick of the Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear collections AKA the stuff we'll find in stores or in other words, "off the rack".

As soon as I looked through the collections, first thing I noticed was that a lot of the color blocking trend we've been seeing this season kept going strong in most collections.

Here's a snippet of what's to come next fall...

BCBG Max Azria

CHADWICK BELL

JENNI KAYNE

JUAN CARLOS OBANDO

Enough with the tease, check out the entire runway looks of the collections below!

Senso S/S 2012

I love, love, love Senso's new collection for S/S 2012. As they are the masters of creating something a little different with a killer heel, the brand have some lovely girlie and summer prints for us to enjoy. I think the lace flat pumps with the studding looks amazing and would love to grab a pair of these!

Our Fashion Prays are answered by Pixie

Pixie knitwear is to blame for turning me into a Knitwear Hore but now that their  new A/W collection has touched down, I am in more awe of their gorgeous pieces. With Blogger LA from LA's Blog as the muse and model for the new range, pixie cleverly shows off their dresses and jumpers in a creative and chic way.
I am definitely a fan of the cable knit dress in the cream.....yum....Cable knit and the bow front grey jumper is pretty cute too.
Keep your eyes pealed for my Fashion week outfits as I will be sporting a little bit of Pixie in London and Paris.

A bloggers dream come true - River Island Camera bag!!

Fashion week and Press days can be a hefty task when you have to lug around your camera as well as press releases and tickets. For your Camera to fit into your hand bag is a major bonus but sometime you just want a nice Camera bag to protect your puppy from harm!
Problem is, these specialist bags are usually black, dull and nerdy (& not in a good way) but River Island have answered bloggers prays and produced a cute and on trend Neon Camera bag!
With enough pocket space for your memory cards, lens cleaner and spare batteries - This baby is totally going to see me through Fashion week in September!
Make sure you secure yours now, before they sell out(Think I will try and rush to get mine tomorrow!)

Nicole Farhi A/W 2011 Press Preview

Nicole Farhi's new collection for A/W was a mixture of pure texture and grace. From the classic White shirt and polka dots to the ribbed knitwear and embellishment - this collection was to suit and cater for all. Pleats made an appearance in the skirts and dresses while clean cut jackets with belt details give a more sophisticated and timeless look.

The jewellery collection also had depth and texture, showing that a large decorative piece could really finish off an outfit even though in the past we have been told it would ruin it.
Definitely worth an investment is the cuff bracelets that combined with a simple black dress would chic and effortless, yet new to the eye.

John Rocha 18th Sept LFW SS11

The pile up of people heading into the John Rocha show for London Fashion week was slightly worrying. As one of the biggest designers showing at LFW the urgancy to get in to the big black tent to see his show was incrediable but I made it.

Sat amoung the other press people on second row, the show was not a disappointment.  John Rocha's new season collection focus' more on the shape and cut of the clothing and accessories and by using black, cream and white as the primary colours, it helped show off the texture the designer used in his designs.

Pointelle dresses with a ra-ra finish, lace maxi's and net, layered dresses made for fairy princesses struted down the catwalk and all shouted volumes for sexy girls in beautfully crafted dresses.  The menswear was simply yet effective with smart tailoring with the designer's quiky details making it stand out among the rest.

A feature that appearred fequenty was the 'tent' style back that was used in blazers, dresses and even backpacks. This was a favorite amoung many, making the designers clothing stand out and have an extra interest.

Over all John Rocha's new line is fun and vibrate, just looking forward to what celebs will be wearing this soon.

Daks 18th Sept London Fashion Week SS11

Daks, the old and traditional London label of heritage that has had a revamp and a move on from their usual house check and basic tailoring. With Filippo Scuffi at the helm, Daks have taken a more contemporary yet classic direction for their new Spring/Summer collection.
With a very easy and laid back colour palit of mustard, cream, white, black and mink, the new Daks collection would easily fit into your new season Wardrobe.
There are a few different inspirations in the pieces, with a oriental influence in the wide sleeve blouse, loose cropped tailored trousers and white shirt dresses to the mannish texture of the blazers, knitwear Bodies and white golf Brogues.
There were also feminine shapes such as shift dresses with front pleats to cardigans and knee length skirts showing they have the foundations for a great summer wardrobe.
So with this new line, Daks are showing the fashion industry they are a ever changing brand with a lot more to surprise us, let's see how they do that next season.
