Belle Sauvage - LFW A/W 2011

One of the edgy and dynamic designers of London Fashion week was Belle Sauvage and the wall of pleats, cut away dresses and strike wedges. The collection contained a strong pattern/print to set the mood for a dark and sassy warrior that wore her tribal colours to show her pride and belonging.

The shapes and silhouettes of the pieces where long and slim with lace detailing to add a softer look to the sharp and strong shapes of the collection.

The hair was also a huge part of the look. With either a pleated veil in front of the models face or worn on top to match the similar style of many east London girls, this helped confirm the inspiration and style that the designer wanted to show. Both hairstyles look very effective and complimented the pieces and collection perfectly.

And then there was the wedges…..all I can say is that they are truly amazing!
Over all, Belle has created a beautiful collection that is original, raw and perfect for the new A/W season ahead but will be a slightly more interesting one.
