Contagion - Movie review

I have never been so scared of touching things until I saw this film. I made a rare trip to the cinema(which due to work load has become harder by the month) and was shocked to find that on the opening night of Contagion, the locals of Southend opted to watch, Paranormal Activity 3 over Steven Soderbergh's latest creation.
Oh how wrong they were.
Contagion is a real life adaption of what would happen if we had a disease epidemic. With a fantastic cast including Kate Winslet, Matt Damon, Marion Cotillard, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltow, Steven Soderbergh showed us the grim truth of how easy it would be to transfer a deadly virus to each other without even knowing. The film, showed us how the expects(Laurence Fishburne and Kate Winslet) would deal with such a massive task of tracking down the original source of this illness and how the human race would behave under such World changing event. What was even more scary was the actual cause of the disease. I won't give anything a way as you really should see this for yourself but it just showed us how easy it would be for something like this to happen to our friends, neighbours and family and how out of control it would become.
I loved Kate and Jude's performances in this movie, showing some solid English backbone and how both their characters got caught up and dealt with this disaster in their own right.
The movie as a whole was shoot beautifully(student film jumps to mind) but you really felt as if you were living this horrible nightmare and it made you question, who and what you had touched that day.
Definitely worth a watch.
