::KARMA COUTURE

::WHAT DOES Cameron Diaz, a priest from The Bronx (my hometown), Tori Burch, and Anna Wintour have in common

Other than an amazing sense of style- they're helping combat hunger...one piece of clothing at the time. Clothing made by Goods of Conscious. An eco friendly line designed by Bronx priest, Rev. Andrew O'Conner. The line was literally stumbled upon by a Vogue staffer, and now praised by fashionistas for its aesthetic and philanthropic mission . Each piece is hand made in The Bronx from Organic cloth hand woven by Mayan Indians in Guatemala.

The nonprofit Goods of Conscience is creating jobs in the Bronx, funding domestic violence projects in the parish, and helping cure desperate poverty in Guatemala, where the 48-year-old priest was stationed on a religious retreat. "There is 80% malnutrition among the Indian communities of Guatemala, the worst in the northern hemisphere, even worse than Haiti," O'Connor says. "A lot of people wonder, how can I help the poor? People wearing these clothes, they're helping, but not in a condescending way. They're glorying in the workmanship. And the craftsmen and women are earning a living. "

Amen to that... Check out the entire collection HERE.

::GREAT MUSIC IS BACK IN FASHION

::MUSIC like clothing, can at times be considered pure frivolity... IT'S very rare for me to obsess over an album, the way I do over my favorite pair of jeans (you know exactly what I'm talking about - that ONE pair you can't stop wearing, even though you have about 5 other pairs just like it in your closet). The kind of album that literally prevents you from discovering other music- or artists because it's on constant replay.

Such is the album by the beautiful, talented, and ever so fashionable Diane Birch. Diane's debut album Bible Belt invokes haunting raw emotion, melancholy and sing out loud in your car, while driving down Wilshire Boulevard songs. Diane Birch has single handily restored my faith in the current music scene, and Bible Belt is already one of my favorite albums of all time.

The 2010 Grammy Awards nominations go out tomorrow, and hopefully Diane will get that well deserved "Best New Artist" nod!!! and maybe eventually even a fashion campaign or two along the way...

PLEASE do not take my word for it... check out her music for yourself!!! and while your add it, check out PDFTM on twitter

“Amy Winehouse-style retro pop, minus dysfunction… Her voice is strong and fetching… “Fools” conjures Carole King, “Nothing But A Miracle” echoes Aretha…the melodies stick, and girl’s got taste.” – Rolling Stone

MODEL ADORATION

::"I love Kate Moss. She’s just hands-down one of the baddest badasses in the land. Nobody can take her down. I really admire Kate because every photo shoot she does is different. Every time you see her there is a different energy that she puts out in whatever outfit she is wearing. I think she is amazing.”
