::TOP FASHION LYRIC OF 2009

::THE ultimate name check of 2009, goes to Jay-Z for name checking none other than Anna Wintour in Empire State of Mind. From Milan to Brooklyn, this is undeniably the top Fashion Lyric of 2009.

Love her or hate her- her influence in mass culture is unparalleled. That's all...

::"CAUGHT up in the in crowd
now you're in style
ANNA the Wintour gets cold in Vogue with your skin out
the city of sin is a pity on a whim
good girls gone bad...
the city's filled with them."

::GREAT MUSIC IS BACK IN FASHION

::MUSIC like clothing, can at times be considered pure frivolity... IT'S very rare for me to obsess over an album, the way I do over my favorite pair of jeans (you know exactly what I'm talking about - that ONE pair you can't stop wearing, even though you have about 5 other pairs just like it in your closet). The kind of album that literally prevents you from discovering other music- or artists because it's on constant replay.

Such is the album by the beautiful, talented, and ever so fashionable Diane Birch. Diane's debut album Bible Belt invokes haunting raw emotion, melancholy and sing out loud in your car, while driving down Wilshire Boulevard songs. Diane Birch has single handily restored my faith in the current music scene, and Bible Belt is already one of my favorite albums of all time.

The 2010 Grammy Awards nominations go out tomorrow, and hopefully Diane will get that well deserved "Best New Artist" nod!!! and maybe eventually even a fashion campaign or two along the way...

PLEASE do not take my word for it... check out her music for yourself!!! and while your add it, check out PDFTM on twitter

“Amy Winehouse-style retro pop, minus dysfunction… Her voice is strong and fetching… “Fools” conjures Carole King, “Nothing But A Miracle” echoes Aretha…the melodies stick, and girl’s got taste.” – Rolling Stone
