Dressing Marilyn - Book review

Dressing Marilyn is a historic and fantastic book. With exclusive pictures and a look into the life of Marilyn Monroe, this book looks at the dresses she wore for some of her most famous films and William Travilla, who styled and designed them. Looking at the key details such as embellishment, cuts and Monroe's life, William Travilla was obviously a huge fan of Marilyn's and this book gives us a little insight into their lives and work together. 

Definitely worth a read!

Daks S/S 2012

Hertiage, sun and sea were some of the influences from Daks' S/S 2012 collection. With the brands signature check injected into Mac's, scarfs and bags, the rest of the collection was left to be more creative with a toned down nautical look with blocked Navy pieces and rope prints.

Daks are very talented when it comes to creating womenswear that is effortless yet has clean cuts and chic shapes.

Menswear too also had the same inspirations but with a sportier edge in the trousers and adaptable jumpers, which is perfect for those country club goers.

The lovely Mr Christopher Waller has created a minimal yet stylish collection for S/S 2012. With classic dresses in light colour blocking, mannish sleeveless jackets and chic shirts, Mr Waller's pieces are cute, easy to wear and of course, have that designer edge to give us all a little pleasure.

Vivienne Westwood Bags for S/S 2012

Signature checks are continued for Vivienne Westwood's new S/S 2012 collection. With injections of high voltage pinks and purples, I love the colour ways that they have used this season and at fairly affordable prices for designer goods, maybe we could all have a little Vivienne in our lives!

Shades of Winter from Jimmy Choo

New season’s spell new product and Jimmy Choo have some gorgeous A/W 2011 sunglasses for all those fashion lovers and celeb hinders.  Among the collection are classic styles such as oversized Jackie O’s, Aviators with a difference and even a little injection of classic leopard print. All of which look fabulous for a little summer sun in the colder season.

Eugene Lin A/W 2011 at PFW

With inspiring prints and cuts, Eugene Lin has a beautiful collection for the new season. With influences from Medusa, the clothing featured the demons skin and the grey of it turning to stone. With such a clever and different idea in which to design a collection, it will very be interesting to see what Eugene does for this future lines.
